Passport fees
From 1 April 2008, passport fees are being charged to cover the cost of processing an application. This includes applications for replacing a restricted validity passport (i.e. a child's passport valid for less than 5 years or an adult's passport valid for less than 10 years). Fees are non-refundable even if the application is unsuccessful.
Except where indicated passport and nationality fees are set in Pounds Sterling and converted at the consular exchange rate of £ 1 = RM 5.85. Fees must be paid in Ringgit Malaysia and are subject to change at short notice.
Consular and passport fees are set by Parliament and current Sterling fees are included below for information. All fees should be paid in Malaysian Ringgit by postal order or bank draft made payable to British High Commission or cash is submitting application in person at the British High Commission.
We regret that we are unable to accept credit cards, nor personal or company cheques.
Consular and passport fees, once paid and receipted, are non-refundable.
If you would like us to post your passport back to you, the cost will be RM 10 (Poslaju). The Poslaju may taketo 3 days to deliver the package. Please do not put cash in the post. The British High Commission can not be responsible for any cash or packages being lost in the post.
